The Swedish Forest Industries Federation continue to strongly condemn the unjustified Russian attack on Ukraine. We follow with despair the humanitarian crisis and our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people.
But there is some light in the darkness. Individual Europeans have rallied to help the Ukrainian population. We are inspired by the unity that the European Union has shown in the last couple of weeks.
Our members have taken the necessary steps to comply with agreed sanctions. We are beginning to see more examples of how this crisis affects our value chain. Rising energy prices, of course, but also implications on the European transport system. We will continue to monitor and address these impacts.
